Very well-maintained and stately 1963 Rolls-Royce Silver cloud iii. This car has been in California for many years and has its original California blue plates. It is a lovely reliable driver quality car.
It is a well-maintained car that starts runs drives and stops wonderfully. Everything has been serviced by an enthusiast owner. The car comes with the original owners manual as well.
The car is a very nicely optioned car from the factory including trunk mounted air conditioning, power windows, power steering and power brakes. It also has the incredibly rare sunroof option.
Mechanically the car is in excellent condition, cosmetically it is a driver quality car, the interior has been fully restored. The panel fit and door gaps are very good, there is absolutely no rust or rust repair anywhere on the car.
The car was repainted in lacquer many years ago and is very shiny but has the typical lacquer cracking in several spots. The brightwork is absolutely beautiful, The chrome, doorhandles, window surrounds and all other trim bits are in very good to excellent condition.
The interior was restored to a very good standard. The gray leather with black piping is in virtually new condition as is all of the wood. The dash is also beautiful, all of the controls and switches work. The steering wheel has no cracks, and the door panels are equally as well preserved. The carpeting is likely original in ok shape.
Under the hood resides the original eight cylinder Rolls-Royce motor. It starts easily and runs very strong. The only under hood modification is the addition of a newer air compressor to run the cars factory air conditioning system. The transmission is strong and shifts well and all gears.
The car is equipped with its original trunk mounted air conditioning system which is non-functional. All of the components are there however. The air-conditioning equipment under the hood has been upgraded to a newer compressor, and an aftermarket under dash system has been installed.
The engine bay and trunk are orderly but in no way cleaned or detailed. The trunk floor is solid with no rust, and the spare and jack are in place. The spare tire is very very old and I would not count on it to be reliable or road-worthy in the event of a flat tire. The tools are missing. The tires on the car are healthy with plenty of tread life. The car does have its owners manual.
All of the windows go up and down perfectly, and all of the electronics and controls function correctly.
The underside is original, solid and rust free. The car has never received a professional restoration, and has likely never needed one. I certainly would not recommend restoring this car either, it is just a wonderful motorcar as is.
Overall this car is a reliable fun driver that looks very elegant and provides a lot of creature comfort‘s for its owner. While the interior is the highlight of the car and nearly show condition, I don’t want to say this is cosmetically anywhere near a show car. It is a solid driver quality car with no rust and very well-maintained.
I have the car at my storage place in Arizona. I can deliver to a West Coast port quite easily and in very short order. I have many more pictures including loads of underside shots. Please feel free to give me a call at 860-883-3998. Please check my feedback and bid with confidence. I will consider all reasonable offers so feel free to call.
