1963 Mercury Monterey S55 Convertible I recently purchased it an estate sale and , yes , I pulled it out of a barn. So you can say you bought a Barn Find. I will not clean it , so the next owner can enjoy all of its character and odor. One of only 1379 produced. In need of complete restoration. Originally a Z code 390 4 barrel but the engine block is missing. The trunk is filled with , what appears to be , the rest of the engine. I do not know if any other engine parts are missing and I can’t guarantee the parts , in the trunk, are original to the car. White body with red bucket seats and console. There is visible rust and I would assume there is rust that is not visible in the pictures. There is missing trim and chrome. If it is not pictured, I do not have it. I do have a signed , New Jersey Certificate of Ownership from 1968. It is up to the buyer to determine if that is enough to produce a title in their state. It does roll and steer , so it shouldn’t be a problem to transport. The brakes are not functional. I am able to store it indoors for a couple weeks , since there is not top. Please look at the pictures closely. This is an ambitious project of a very rare car but well deserving of a full restoration. Please email any questions before bidding. I can supply more pictures but I do not have access to a lift , so undercarriage pictures will be hard to see. Vehicle is available for inspection during auction.
