Vehicle description

I purchased this car in March 2018 from the owner in Florida. My plans were to do a complete restoration. Unfortunately, a very serious back injury followed by multiple surgeries has derailed my plans. I was told that the car was previously owned by an elderly gentleman and the car has been in storage for the past 10+ years. The person I purchase the car from replaced the battery, gas tank, fuel lines and carb to start and drive the car. Original carb is in the trunk . This appears to be a very nice car, paint is good but not perfect, needs a major buffing. One small surface rust bubble on driver"s side rear quarter panel. Surface rust in the engine compartment that can be dressed up. Interior shows some signs of age from being stored but is in good shape with a couple of issues that could be easily repaired. Accessories: Swing-away steering wheel, vinyl top, leather interior, air conditioning, power steering, power seats and power windows. I had a friend change the engine oil and filter then we drove the car for a few miles and have observed the following: (1)Motor runs and idles smooth, pulls very strong; (2)Transmission shifts smoothly thru all three froward speeds and reverse however, transmission should be serviced with new fluid and gaskets; (3)Shocks need to be replaced; (4)Brakes need to be replaced or converted to disc brakes; (5)Belts on motor need to be replaced; (6)Drivers power seat does not operate, can hear motor trying to work and I believe it just needs to be cleaned and lubricated; (7)Drivers power window does not work, possible bad relay or switch; other power windows work; (8)AC Compressor engages but there is no Freon in system and it needs to be converted to R-134; (9)No water leaks and motor runs at normal temperature, does need a to be flushed and replace hoses to be safe.
Overall I give the vehicle a 6+ on a 10-point scale. With some TLC and a few $, it will be a great car to drive. With some additional work and $$, it can be an excellent show car. Since I will be unable to work on cars again I will include the roll-around ramp the car is on in the photos as well as shop manuals I have purchased for the car. I am just trying to recover my investment in the car. The ramp, a $1,500 purchase in 2008, is a bonus to the lucky bidder. I have the car listed locally and reserve the right to end the auction early if the car sells elsewhere.
