These 250 Spyder inspired kits are said to be the best recreation to date. These were made in the UK until they were closed down by an Italian auto manufacturer. Only one car made it to the United States before production was stopped. They originally were sold as kits, then only as complete/turn key models. There were so few built they command a premium price in the UK, as much as 125k GBP. Last year I was in the UK and found the last built kits, which I purchased and imported to Florida.
All shipping and import duties have already been paid. These kits go on a BMW Z3 so you get modern safety and performance, AC, power top/windows, etc. I have one body installed on a low mileage Z3 going off to the body shop next week for final fit/finish/paint (if you"re quick, you can choose the exterior paint color and interior). I will also consider selling one of the kits so you can complete your own build. The original company was selling kits in the US for $19,900 plus shipping/import duties from the UK. Here"s a great opportunity to purchase my nearly finished build, or the other unmounted kit for $19,500. I also have all the extras needed for the build (handmade stainless steel bumpers, grills, side vents, hood vents, etc).
