Vehicle description
This is my pride and joy 1962 Willys Jeep 4x4 truck. I have owned it since 1982 when I was more spry and much younger. If you want to view the truck as it was when I bought it, do a google search for growl62, grover, asu. I had a direct link to it, but eBay does not allow "clickable links" any longer. The entire body is all steel original. Frame is also original other than the front section being boxed to adequately hold up to power steering and large tires.
Engine is a 350 SBC with approximately 33,000 miles since rebuild. A new Edlebrock aluminum manifold, new quadrajet carb and new Hooker shorty headers were installed at the time of the rebuild.
Steering consists of a GM tilt steering column and a model 76 Saginaw fast ratio Camero power steering box.
Brakes are dual cylinder manual (non-power) disc front, 12" drum rear. Emergency brake consists of original under dash pull handle and LoKar cables/hardware.
Drive train is a Dana 44 front with Torsen Gleason differential & Dana 60 rear with Detroit Locker. Gearing is 4.10:1 Transmisssion is a GM Muncie SM456 manual 4 speed with 6.55:1 compound low gear. Transfer case is a NP205 gear driven unit.
Tires are BFG 35" Mud Terrain. Might have 2000 miles on them.
Wheels are Centerline unit. Can"t remember the model number.
Roll bar and rear bumper are both Smittybilt.
Winch is a Ramsey 8000 lb
Spot lights are KC Daylighters. Wiring all in place but haven"t re-wired to power switch since truck was painted/reassembled.
Radio is original AM single speaker that came in the truck.
Fuel tank is a custom built (with internal baffles) 40 gallon unit.
Alarm system with door, hood and shock (window break) activation.
Many polished stainless fasteners.
Truck was painted in the mid 90"s ans still looks awesome. It has been driven maybe 2000 miles since being painted and has been stored inside since completion. It has also been featured in Off-Road magazine and made appearances in several other publications. Has also won numerous 1st place trophies on the local auto show circuit including 1st place in the Parts Plus Auto-Rama.
Bidding open to U.S. and Canadian bidders only. Winning bidder is solely responsible for transportation/delivery cost of the truck. It is road worthy, so it can be driven to it"s new home.
PAYMENT : A $1000 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auction end. The remaining balance is to be paid in cash at the time of vehicle being picked up. Clear released title and bill of sale will be provided at that time also.
