The car is titled as a 1962 Volkswagen 2DR. It does have a 1600 Volks engine. She Looks, Runs and Drives great! The story I was told when I bought the car is that the car was built in 2012. It was then put in one of those big 24 hour access storage facilities in Dallas Texas. The owner very rarely used it and it was sold to a Dealer I do business with in Dallas. He was not ready to give it up but I bought it in a package of cars he had. Other than a few minor rock chips (which I just got the correct touch up paint) the car is in like new condition. We have put about 10 miles on it. While driving everyone thinks it is the real deal. Well the real deal just sold on BaT Auctions for $245,000! This car is nicer and turn key for much less. I have the correct Tonneau, Side Curtains and cover for the car. This is a ton of fun and glory for only $35,000.
