“This MG MGA is in excellent condition, completely restored and ready for the road! No expense was spared when restoring this car to it's original condition, with a few modifications from the owner. The car shows 25 miles on the odometer, which has been added since completely redoing the engine and transmission. The motor was ran on a stand for 3 hours prior to installation. The original miles are unknown. The car is serviced every six months by the owners in house mechanics and is kept in our climate controlled museum when not being driven.” |

Vehicle description
This 1962 MGA 1600 is a rare Mark II coupe. Completely refurbished. Work included refinishing the exterior in red, redoing the interior with two-tone red and black leather upholstery, and overhauling the mechanical and electrical systems. Paired with a four-speed manual gearbox, the factory replacement 1,622cc B-series inline-four is fitted with a Judson supercharger, and additional modifications include a Marvel Mystery Oiler fitted to a Judson valve cover, an aftermarket exhaust, and chrome wire wheels. This final-year fixed-head MGA is now offered with a clean Texas title in the seller’s name. This MGA is reportedly one of 26 examples exported to North America for the model year, and was repainted in red as part of the refurbishment process. Exterior modifications include rear dual exhaust tips, a chrome badge bar mounted to the front bumper, and added badging including “Supercharged by Judson” logos on the front fenders. Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels with three-eared knock-offs are wrapped in 560-15 Royalton 3″ whitewall tires. Disc brakes are fitted up front with red-painted drums out back. The interior features leather-upholstered seats with a custom red and black color scheme that extends to the carpeting, door panels, and dashboard. Black rubber MG floor mats are fitted in the footwells. A black-rimmed banjo-style steering wheel fronts factory instrumentation including a 7k-rpm tachometer and a 120-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer displays 25 miles, which is said to reflect mileage accumulated since completion of the refurbishment; true mileage is unknown. The 1,622cc B-series inline-four is a factory replacement engine as denoted by a stamp on the block. A Judson supercharger has been fitted along with a Judson valve cover, a Marvel Mystery Oiler, and NGK ignition wires. The fluids, lights, and gauges were checked in July 2020, at which time a compression test yielded results of 175, 180, 175, and 180 psi in the four cylinders. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual gearbox. The aftermarket dual exhaust is pictured above, and additional images of the underbody can be viewed in the gallery.
