1962 Mercury Monterey Custom, 352 V8 with three speed automatic trans. PB, PS. This was a CA car that I purchased from the grandson of the original owners, I brought it with me when I retired to OK. No rust, driver paint, re-plated bumpers front and rear, NOS grill just installed. Front disc brake conversion, rear brakes just redone, new brake hose, gas tank removed and professionally cleaned, all engine freeze plugs replaced, heater core replaced, front end bushing replaced, carburetor rebuilt, new rear motor mount, new Optima battery, converted to dual exhaust, new carpet and door sill plates, B F Goodrich tires (205/65/15 front 225/60/16 rear) have very few miles on them, polished Torque Thrust wheels 15” front 16” rear. The car runs and drive great, bakes are excellent, transmission shifts as it should. Everything works except for the clock. I consider this an entry level vintage car that could be enjoyed, you won’t see many 62 Mercurys running around.
