Vehicle description
Lincoln Continental . Condition is Used.
It needs work mechanically and cosmetically. It does run but rough, especially after sitting for a few days. Fuel pump is not working or possibly fuel pump push rod is stuck (that happened once). Currently runs only with gas can attached (see photo) There"s a known exhaust manifold leak on the driver"s side. Car does have oil leaks.
Transmission is sluggish when cold but shifts when warms up. Column gear selector will need work/adjustment because the shifter usually needs to be placed in Neutral and pushed slightly towards Reverse to start car.
The car does have rust and possible bondo. Some examples shown in photos. There are some dings, chips and scratches on body, bumper and trim. There are some tears on the seats. Also paint shows signs of orange peel on driver"s side. There"s a 6" crack on the rear of the trunk lid.
Issues and things known not to work: Fuel pump Air conditioner Heater Power Seat (switch is not attached but included) Power steering starts making noises after driven for a few minutes. Radio Radio aerial broken off Dome light Power windows (Some windows can partially open from driver"s controls) Driver"s side vent window needs to be pushed for window crank to engage and open it. Interior hood release cable is broken. Hood release now activated in the front driver"s side wheel well by pushing on a 30" rod that is attached to the engine bay hood release (see photo) Rear driver"s side door will need adjustment to open smoothly (it was opened past its limit causing distortion). This also created a vertical dent (identified with marker) just rearward of this door"s hinge (see photo) Hard fuel line from gas tank to engine bay has heavy dents. It have been bypassed with rubber fuel line. Driver"s side wheel well rear cover is removed but included (see photo). Mounting tab may be missing. One side of horn ring is broken Approx. 3/16" hole on passenger side valve cover Lincoln logo trim from rear trunk grill is off. One part is missing (see photo) Two holes in headliner No seat belts, not mandatory equipment in 1962. Cigarette lighters not working
Car"s title is in my name and is currently registered in California to November 2020. If you have any questions please email me. Thank You
