In 1962, the Impala was the top of the line model that you could purchase from Chevrolet. Chevrolet touted its "62 Impalas as having the elegance of an expensive car but without all of the cost. Not only did these cars come with most of the same features as the lower priced Bel Air and Biscayne lines, they also came with plusher interiors. From the exterior, a body side moulding with color-keyed insert runs the full length of the "62 Impala, giving the "62 Chevy Impala a distinctive exterior look. This particular "62 Impala underwent a frame-off restoration a number of years back and has a complete engine rebuild at the same time. Under the hood on this "62 Impala is a 327 Cubic Inch V8 with a single 2 barrel carburetor. The small block 327 V8 is hooked up to a Powerglide Automatic Transmission that ensures that anybody can drive this elegant Chevrolet. This "62 Chevy is particularly well-optioned as well. With power brakes, bringing this Impala to a stop is much easier. Power steering is a welcome option as well since it makes getting in and out of tight spots a breeze. Dual exhaust gives this classic Impala a nice throaty sound. Color-matched fender skirts add to the exterior look of this Impala. The exterior on this beautiful "62 Chevy has been refinished in its original color, Ermine White, with red striping running the length of the car. The chrome and brightwork around the exterior of this Impala are also in very nice shape. The red vinyl bench seat interior with cloth inserts appear just like they did when this beauty rolled off the Baltimore factory floor. The tufted door panels, dash, and steering wheel all present exceptionally well and give this Impala a truly distinctive look. The dash is equipped with a 120 MPH speedometer, fuel gauge, clock, and AM radio, as well as temperature indicator lights. Whether you"re looking to add to your garage full of Impalas or you"re looking for your very first classic car, this 1962 Chevrolet Impala would be an excellent choice. Give us a call today!
