Vehicle description
Up for bid is a 1962 Buick Skylark Convertible. I have owned this car for just about four and half years. It currently has 13,535 miles showing on the odometer, I believe that to be 113,535 miles. It has a 2-speed automatic Turbine Drive transmission mated to the original 215 Aluminum V8 with 4-barrel carb. It is white with a black top and black interior. I believe the car was repainted at some point. This is a very original and solid vehicle that will need some work to get back on the road. Has been off the road for about 2 years while getting brake system refreshed. It has five new 13” whitewall tires, new wheel cylinders and new front and rear brake lines/hoses. New main brake line running between front and rear needs to be installed but goes with the car. New master cylinder goes with the car to be installed. This car does need some attention and I just don’t have the time to devote to it that I would like. - Interior needs work. Seats have begun to split in a couple of areas. Mainly all on seams. The carpet is worn, but I have a new complete carpet set to go with the car. The passenger side vent window has a crack (photo included). - Top will need to be replaced. The motor operates and top will go up and down. Motor was replaced just prior to my purchasing the car. Top has some wear spots and rear plastic window is broken. - Overall, the sheetmetal is in good shape, though there are some paint chips here and there. The only real rust in the car is the driver’s side rocker, and not visible unless under the car. I included a photo. This is ready to be a nice driver with completion of the brake work and replacement of the top. Any other items can be handled while enjoying it. As I said, the car has no brakes currently and will need to be trailered, I am happy to assist your shipper in loading as best I can. My garage is easily accessible for shipping needs.
