Vehicle Details International Harvester Other. 1961 International Harvester C120 Travelette. If you are looking at this you know is possibly one of the rarest trucks out there. This is the first 4 door crew cab ever produced. I am an avid International collector and have never seen another 1961 out there let alone in this condition. I have found other years of this truck but never a 1961. This truck started its life going into the military but some how the State of South Dakota got it and used it in their forestry department. It didn't get used much as the mileage shows. I bought the truck several years ago and went through the entire truck. I replaced everything that needed to be done to preserve it. I decided to leave the body and paint alone as it shows so much character and what this truck did back in its day. Original military navy blue paint under the forestry yellow. Still has all federal and state logos and badging. Story behind this truck is it got pushed to the back of a warehouse in SD and sat there for over 30 years. The gentleman I bought it from acquired it at an equipment auction and he put it in storage for over 10 years as he never got around to restoring it. I had the entire motor gone through, the transmission was rebuilt, new tires, new brakes, new shocks, all new window seals, and new old stock wiring harness. Replaced the floor pans on both sides and put rust inhibitor in a few minor spots. The only thing that is not original is the interior which I replaced with all black. The drivers side mirror does have a crack but I have new set of mirrors. All items included in the auction. The truck runs, drives and stops like it should.
