Vehicle description
After long thought i"ve had to put her up for sale. you are bidding on what we know of to be thee lowest 1961 ford thunderbird ever customized on 20" wheels. Im sure its been done but from searching the inner web for almost a year to see if someone has done it we decided to take on the build ourselves.
It literally lays rockers.
So we started off searching the web for thee cleanest 61 we could find. My wife found the car a purchased it sight unseen. Boy was I scared.
Once it arrived I was in disbelief on how unbelievably clean it was. Not knowing much about the car I immediately started searching for a problem or a flaw just to jump on the wife for a shitty buy. I was and still am in shock on how clean it is.
I called my friends over at X2 INDUSTRIES and he sent us what we believed would do the trick. After setting up the four link we then knew this was gonna be a structural nightmare and basically built a complete rear subframe for it. knotched the trunk and added a bridge for support. we pocketed in the front with double convelutes and it was done. built some really cool beauty boxes for the rear trunk and it looks almost factory.
outfitted the air management with RIDETECH"S AIR POD kit and settings are set to pound, ride height and parking lot.its all controlled by air pressure not sensors so its easy to re calibrate.
Engine is a rebuilt 390 that was rebuilt in 2006 and has had 5000+ miles added it to it since then. we had the alternator, water pump and thermostat replaced the week after we got it because i found a very small leak in the gasket from the water pump to block.
transmission shifts absolutely smooth and D2 shifts at high speed like it should.
since were based in south florida I called my friends over at Classic Auto Air and they hooked us up with a factory sure fit system. What a nice install.
WHEELS are from my friends over at US WHEEL. I told them to send them raw and I fell in love with the look. there easily paintable so you can redo them if your not a fan.
interior is super clean. carpet has a few blemishes and seatbelts have some stains.the lower right section of the dash has a scratch from something and still cant figure out where or how it got there previously(shown in pics). I rate all my cars and will rate this from all the parts
Chrome 8.9/10 Paint 8.8/10 Interior 8/10 Suspension and drive quality PRICELESS/10 Wheels 8.9/10 Tires 10/10 brakes 9/10 Driveability 8/10 AC 10/10
Please call me with any questions you may have about the vehicle I would be glad to give you any information you want or may need.
ALSO, LIKE ME NOT THE WIFE, PLEASE HAVE THE VEHICLE INSPECTED. IT WILL NOT OFFEND ME ONE BIT.
THIS VEHICLE IS ALSO FOR SALE LOCALLY SO I HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE IT ANYTIME.
THANKS AGAIN FOR LOOKING AND HAPPY BIDDING! !
