About this vehicle This 1961 Ford Galaxie 5.8 is a modified vehicle with updates to the exterior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle needs work and is not regularly driven. Seller"s Notes Selling body with engine, or body without engine, but NOT just the engine. Vehicle Details This car was purchased as a project car. I have a lot of the interior pieces, both bumpers, and the original hood. The engine was taken apart, has new main bearings, and con rod bearings. Has a high volume oil pump, new front and rear seal. The cam shaft is FB260H-10. Valve lift is 484 intake and 484 exhaust. Has a double roller timing chain. The intake is an Eldo dual plane aluminum with a 650 Holly. It has stainless steel shorty headers. Has a brand new aluminum radiator. The rings weren’t replaced bc the cylinders didn’t seem to have much wear, but there is a blow by issue when it’s running , a little smoke out of valve cover, that will need to be addressed. The engine runs good. I have only run it in my driveway but feels strong. Transition is a C6, it works (in the driveway. The shift shaft seal is leaking. It has new steel brake lines. New master cylinder. Has new wheel cylinder, springs, shoes, drums have been cut but are ok. Has new ball joints, haven’t been greased yet only installed. The gas tank is not in the car. The body itself has been altered from a 4 dr to a 2 door. It looks clean in light. The doors were bolted then welded shut, the fiberglass bindi was used. A big project that I’ve lost interest in and lost time for. Willing to sell just the body but NOT just the engine.has 406 on the valve covers, so I’m not sure what the engine actually is.
