Vehicle description
1961 GMC K/10 4x4 truck, K1002 127" wheelbase factory 4x4. NOT SECOND ONE BUILT, BUT MODEL K1002. That said, the truck is super rare, with the total production estimated in the low 100"s of units built. This truck was sold new to the Idaho Department of Transportation and shipped in Orange paint. Now yellow, not rusty. If you don"t mind my saying so, this truck is a steal at under four grand. I own Rose Lane Restorations in Vancouver, WA. We recently finished a stunning 1967 GMC factory 4x4, and sold an in-progress 1960 K/10 restoration. I was saving this one to build for myself as a run-around Shop Truck, but it could be some time before we get to it.
An essentially-complete truck without the factory Big 6 305 engine. A non-running project truck with clear title. Uncut original dash, clean floors, cab corners, steps, etc. This truck would be outstanding again in original Orange paint with White wheels and bumpers. . a factory Creamsicle. Love them.
Included are three original date-coded steel wheels with the center cap retainers intact. The original bench seat frame has been cleaned and re-foamed; I can upholster it properly for you for $400.00 additional.
Apologies in advance for the few and poor pictures. . she"s kind of buried in my back lot.
Buy-It-Now price is for the rolling truck w/o engine, including transmission, seat frame and early wheels.
Clear title in hand, matches VIN exactly for inspection and export. GENUINE factory 4x4, not a build or conversion. While every effort has been made to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible, it is in fact a 57-year-old non-running project vehicle, and therefore being sold as-is, without warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied. Please be ready to make payment in full within 3 days of auction’s end via deposit into my Bank of America account, or bank wire transfer Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; I own a classic car restoration shop, can perform restoration work for you if you wish, and can recommend a reliable and affordable broker who I have used many times. . ultimately the choice must be yours alone. Finally, I can build you anything you like. See more at roselanerestorations for images of the build in progress, etc. Feel free to call me (Tim) directly at with any questions you may have, and thank you for your interest!
