UP FOR SALE IS OUR BELOVED 1960 VW BUG RAGTOP THAT WE HAVE HAD FOR MANY YEARS BUT WE HAVE TO DOWNSIZE FOR A MOVE AND SHE MUST FIND A NEW HOME.
BELOW IS A LIST OF HER FEATURES AND WE HATE TO SEE HER GO BUT SUCH IS LIFE.
1776 engine, with 041 heads, 90 mm pistons, Engle 110 cam, full circle crank, dual Kadron carbs, 1700 lb. Kennedy clutch, lightened flywheel, scat 36hp fan shroud.
Runs very strong with powder coated seat frames with grey tweed interior
All original floors with original sound deadening, original heater channels, battery tray, ect.
1959 convertible deck lid with rain tray, 3 tab hood, new corker WW tires, all new brakes/lines, grey headliner, salt and pepper carpet. One piece window kit.
White canvas sunroof, she is also converted to 12 volt with alternator, semaphores are still 6 volt (not hooked up) Adjustable front beam, 68 transaxle for full synchronization and road gears for lower rpm"s on the freeway.
Gas tank has been lined and powder coated, bumper brackets have been powder coated.
Bumpers have been re-chromed and chrome roof rack. H4 bulbs in original European headlight buckets, stainless trim, approximately 2000 miles on car since the makeover.
Some minor chrome pitting with age but all in all a great car for being 59 years old.
True mileage is unknown as the speedometer has been replaced.
Car is rust free and always garage kept and get a lot of attention wherever we go and great fun to drive.
One minor ding in left back fender shown in pic. Paint did not crack so can be pushed out.
