Vehicle description

If you are searching for a true survivor classic car this 1960 Rambler 6 is for you! A real attention getter, this Rambler 6 always picks up trophies whenever you take it to a car show. The car has lived most of its life in Washington and Utah which explains its incredible condition. The body is solid with no rust or patch work. The paint is mostly original, still has a nice shine but does contain some scratching, flaking and wear. The chrome is in beautiful condition. The only areas of damage are two dings on the top edge of the front bumpers. The interior is mostly original and is also in great shape. The famous Rambler fold down seats are in working condition and the original front seat support brackets are still present. The engine is the 127 hp overhead 6 and a 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive which actually works, no power brakes or steering. This car has just, January- August 2021, undergone $30,000 in restoration work which includes:
Complete engine overhaul: new pistons, connecting rod bearings, main bearings, cam shaft bearings, cam shaft sprocket, crank shaft sprocket, timing chain, gaskets, oil pump and engine painting in the original color scheme. This car is ready to be driven anywhere. The only issues I have yet to tackle is the repair of the speedometer, which gets stuck at 30mph, odometer works perfectly as do the rest of the lights and gauges in the instrument cluster. The dash clock does not work and needs repair. The radio works but does not pick up many stations and has low volume. I replaced all the radio tubes but new tubes made no difference. The radio will also need attention.
Included with the car is my extra parts stash which includes steering wheels, hubcaps, tail light lenses, light bulbs extra Mileage Minder, extra rim. extra radiator, carburetor, Carter Carburetor tool kit etc. Also included is my collection of American Motors books, 1960 Rambler sales literature, service manuals, dealership parts catalogs, AMC paint color charts and two really nice Rambler showroom advertisement banners.
The asking price for this little gem of a car is $22,500. All reasonable offers will be considered. Any questions about the car, please feel free to contact me.
