Vehicle description
This is a 1960 Cadillac Superior Hearse or ambulance that was converted to an RV in 1974. Miles are 37,997 and said to be original. That doesn"t mean much now however since this vehicle has been heavily modified from its original state. It sat for many years until I got it. I have gotten it running with a temporary gas can and electric fuel pump under the hood and a new Edelbrock 4 barrel carb. The engine starts right up, runs pretty well. I have moved it around on my property, backed it out of shop and trans seems to work ok. I have not road tested it. Brakes are soft but lines look good and no signs of leaking. The obvious mechanical issues I see are: steering box leaks from output shaft, (heavy leak, not just a drip), AC compressor belt is missing, (compressor turns freely not locked up) Alternator belt looks to big, its maxed out on adjustment and is still loose. Headlights work, Windshield is good, no cracks, only bad glass is passenger side door glass. The outer body of the car is solid, the floor pans of the car portion have rust. Replacement pans are available online. The camper floor and roof is solid. Frame of the car is solid. I put a pair of Centerline mags on the front, I also have the factory steel rims. The RV portion of this needs to be completely redone. Clean title. This is a one of kind car. Will need to be transported away. Click the bid button only if you want to own it.
