Larson has been manufacturing boats since 1913. Founded by Paul Larson, his wooden boats were poplar among fishermen and duck hunters. When the outboard motor came of age in the 1920s, Larson"s business grew from a small, Minnesota based manufacturer to a regional one. His business prospered even in the Great Depression as rich land owners wanted boats to entertain their friends and guest on the lakes in the summer time. When fiberglass began being used in industrial applications in the 50s Larson Boats was an early adapter. Now forms could be molded with many hull designs available. By 1969 Larson was the largest supplier of fiberglass recreational boats in the world. This is an all original Larson Runabout, a closed bow design complete with a electric start Johnson outboard motor. Able to hold four people, it was affordable during its time. Although small, its charm is undeniable when coupled with Beautiful 1966 suburban. A true testament to the good American life of the 1960s. Call Eric Buck Auto Spec Sheet Year: 1966
