Vehicle description

1959 Willys Jeep Forward Control FC 170 for sale! I purchased this 10 years ago intending to restore it, but haven"t gotten far. I"ve keep it stored inside and dry. It has all it"s original drivetrain, flathead Continental 6 cylinder, with 3 speed transmission, transfer case, and Dana axles. It also has Warn lockout hubs.
The glass is all in it, the rear window has a small crack, and the driver"s window is cracked. None of the other glass is broken, but some of it has fogged along the bottoms from age. The cab is in good shape, only has some small spots of rust that I"ve shown in the pictures. Small hole in the passenger side cab corner, (below battery compartment) some small holes in floor boards, and just behind the front bumper. Overall not bad at all. The bed is another story, it has rust in the stake pockets, and the floor.
The truck was originally red and white. At some point in it"s life, it was repainted green, and at the same time the stock fenders were removed and what appear to be older rear Chevrolet pickup fenders were installed. I think they actually look better than stock fenders, and someone did a decent job of fitting them.
I had removed the bed, and gas tank with the intent to start rebuilding the bed and sealing the inside of the gas tank. For pictures I set the bed back in place. There are also pictures with the bed off to show how clean and straight the frame is. One picture shows the gas tank, driver seat frame/springs, gas tank straps, and headlight trim rings. These are the only things that have been removed, but are all there.
I"ve never tried to get it running, although the engine isn"t stuck and it supposedly had ran not long before I bought it. I bought from an elderly man who was the second owner, and had owned it since the early sixties. It only shows 35K on the odometer, he said he only used it for hunting trips.
