Vehicle description
1959 Chrysler Crown Imperial Convertible. This car is largely original. I am the third owner. I bought it from the (literally) little old lady pictured. She bought it from the local Chrysler dealers wife in 1961and kept it until 7 years ago when I bought it. I am only selling because I recently bought a 1961 Imperial convertible also white- a lot of white in my garage. The 59 drives beautifully, very solid and powerful. The paint is largely original except the left front fender. The paint shines, but not like new paint. Stainless is fine but pot metal does have pits but not terrible. It has swivel seats and all seats were reupholstered in vinyl some time ago including the heat embossed eagles. Seats look great. Door panels are original and excellent. Steering wheel is perfect no cracks same for dash, When I bought it it still had original 57 year old top that had a foggy back window and a split seam. I thought about trying to repair it but instead bought new one and pumps as well. I added new radial white walls and that is about all Ive done besides fix one broken exterior door handle and the power antenna. Has speed control and all power options work correctly. There is no visible rust and the frame and floors are solid and un-repaired as far as I can tell. To me the car is an excellent driver as is and not a trailer queen although it has been in several car shows including the greenwich concours. It is showing 87000 miles which i believe to be original although I have no documentation. I am willing to cooperate with overseas shippers as I have done so before.
