| “Almost as soon as this was drivable we had to move out of the area, so this has been in storage for going on 3-1/2 years, I last ran and drove it 8/19. It drives like you would expect from a 50s vehicle. It will need some finishing. The brakes need adjusting, they were sensitive before storage and they have rusted some since. The front cross member needs to be replaced. The seats need to be finally secured. The transmission works fine in all forward gears but will pop out of reverse unless the shift lever is held in place. Details....I will add a video if I can figure it out.” |

Vehicle Details Very solid 59 shortbed pickup body on a later (year unknown) shortened highboy F250 chassis. Drivetrain is from a 90 F250; 7.3 International non turbo diesel, 5 speed manual transmission and transfer case. Front axle is a 79 Dana44 rebuilt by a local 4x4 shop (I have their invoice). Rear axle is from a 93 F350 the donor truck had a code for limited slip. Both axles have 4.10 gears. It has power steering and power brakes. Wiring, steering column and seats are from an 80s LTD. The wiring works but I am including a wiring kit from Ron Francis Wireworks. Glass is decent. Inner front sheet metal and inside of front exterior sheet metal coated with KBS paint similar to POR. Some new parts including; gauges, fuel tank, radiator, drive shafts, door weatherstripping. Images Download the Motors app
