Vehicle description
This is a 1959 Ford F100 body on top of an early 70s 2wd Chevy Blazer chassis. It has a 307 small block Chevy and an automatic transmission. Truck was painted back in 2013. . taken completely down to bare metal with very little filler used. Truck runs great, usually starts on the first try and idles smoothly. Turns corners like no other old pickup. Has great acceleration and braking. Also it has straight pipes and is gloriously very loud. The interior is non existent except for the bench seat pictured(seat is not bolted in). There is no carpet or headliner. The interior surfaces have been sound deadened. The frame has been painted and undercoated. The truck is street legal and can be driven while undergoing your updates. Now for the the negatives. .Some rust has come back on the cab corners(see pics), the new windshield wiper motor is not currently working. Speedometer isn"t working. The fuel tank is only 10 gallons and does not have a sending unit so the gauge doesn"t work. It does not have overdrive and runs about 3000 rpms on the interstate, which doesn"t leave you with a tremendous range. There is some treated sheet metal underneath that could use patching or replacement (if you want it to be a show truck or simply ignore it and drive on). Parts pictured are new fuel tank ( sound deadened), sending unit, fuel hose, door panels, tailgate, window weather stripping and center caps.
