Vehicle description
This 1959 Ford F150 was stored in my Dad’s arid Wyoming “back 40” for years, then restored for him to a reliable and fairly original condition by my brother. “Four on the floor” 292 CID 2WD Manual Choke 6 Volt configuration in the ever popular “Indian Turquoise”. The title is clean and ready.
This truck starts reliably, even in our cold winters, and runs well. The paint is shiny but not without a few flaws - primarily the area where logo decals for the family business were removed from the doors.
The seat is reupholstered, and inside door panels repainted. The dome light lens is missing. The original horn-ring works, but is missing part of the exterior ring. Seatbelts were added.
The curved front windshield has no cracks or pits and the seal is good. Windshield wiper arms are functional, but the blades are not OEM. Side and rear windows are good, but have some “bubbling” typical for curved glass of that vintage; no chips or cracks. All exterior lights are functional.
The “numbers matching” engine was beyond repair, so swapped for one of same size and year in decent condition.
We love this truck! We get lots of compliments and excitement from people who see it when we cruise around, especially in the summer.
We don’t put enough miles on it to justify keeping it however, and if I were keeping it I would replace the windshield wiper blades with OEM style, the interior light lens and horn rings, and repaint the driver door where the logo was removed.
Buyer is responsible for pickup and transport, but we will take pictures when loaded and ensure she is ready. Buyer has 72 hours to provide payment in form of cash, cashier check or wire transfer.
