1959 Edsel Ranger . Condition is Used.
1959 Edsel Ranger 292 CID good driving classic, one of only 12,814 built in 1959. Exterior and interior in good shape. Top end and engine was rebuilt. Has new gas tank, spark plugs and wires, new generator, belts, gaskets and seals, axle, lowered suspension, brakes, rebuilt carburetor, brake lines, radiator and hoses, rebuilt heads, new water pump and thermostat. This is not a show car but is a beautiful driver. Odometer says 34000 but not sure how accurate that is. Can be seen and driven.
The Good:
Runs very strong and does not require letting it warm up to be able to put in gear without dying. Start her and she"s ready to go.
Lots of new parts including the front windshield.
Two front doors have the glass cracked but new glass comes with the vehicle
Very clean interior in very good condition.
The Bad:
Very minor surface rust in a few spots but NO HOLES!
The S in EDSEL on the hood is missing
The radiator support underneath the radiator is rusted and will need to be replaced. This is the ONLY real rust issue on this car
The transmission has a minor leak at the shift cable connections. It is NOT leaking from the front pump or any other place.
It looks very good from 5 feet away but could use a slight surface prep and paint job. This car does NOT need any real body work.
This is a great option for a VERY rare vehicle that is in very good condition and is ready to be driven day one.
