Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1959 Cadillac Series 62 is a project vehicle. The owner has had it for 5 years. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for car shows. Seller"s Notes None Vehicle Details This 1959 cadillac I've had for a while now and have really enjoyed driving it around. When I first got it it have been sitting a long time. So I changed all the fluids, new bias ply tires, redid the brakes, new exhaust, shock, and im sure a few things I am forgetting. It will need some work to be drivable again. I was having a fuel problem last year. I think the screen thats in the tank became plugged. I blew on it the opposite direction and it seemed to work after that but I will plug again if nothing is done about it. Before I thought to do that I pulled the stock carb off and stuck a holley on there. The stock carb is included with all parts and aircleaner to put back to stock. Which I would recommend because I did not get a chance to order the kickdown lever for the holley. So back to stock would look better and work better. After a rebuild of the carb im sure. The drivers side window stopped working in the down position. The other windows still work. Might be the motor in the door. I'm not sure. It needs a small section of hose for the washer pump for the windshield. There appears to be an old repair to the fuel like on thr passenger side under the door thats looking punky. That should be replaced. The new exhaust needs a new gasket where it bolts to the manifold. Should be an easy fix. The transmission is leaking where the bellhousing meets the engine. I am assuming this is the input shaft seal on the transmission but I don't really know. It needs to be repaired before it can be driven as any time its running its leaking. The body had to have been restored a long time ago. Like maybe the 60s? There is body filler in this car masking rot. Some of the chrome has holes in it. Overall I drove this thing and never really cared about the rust or rot. The frame looks good to me. It didn't effect its performance. These cars as 2 doors are getting pretty hard to find. Any questions please ask. Exterior Interior Engine Download the Motors app
