1959 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite Mark 1 in tartan red with black interior, leather faced seats. The car was recently restored and has been sitting in a garage until this spring. The car has been lovingly cared for and never been driven in the rain during my family’s 34 year ownership. It is in excellent running condition! Recently detailed and tuned. Needs cosmetics to be a real looker. A nice example of the marque with well-thought-out upgrades/options, in a very desirable and traditional English color scheme. Some improvements include: ● New leather seat covers and pads ● Les Leston steering wheel and matching wooden shift knob ● New wheels (mini-lite type) and tires with less than 300 miles on them· ● Rivergate transmission conversion with Datsun 5 speed transmission ● Super tuned, custom built SU carbs with K&N air filters ● New brakes ● Rebuilt master and slave cylinder
This car is a looker and a great driver - it will take very little to make it perfect! The car could use a paint job, and there is a small hole in the driver’s door. I am including a replacement door (unpainted). The car comes with the following: black tonneau cover, car cover, front bumper, disc brake conversion kit, replacement door, and the original transmission.
I have not listed the mileage because it is unknown. I replaced the Speedometer head in 2007 and shows 1400 or so miles. The Speedo head that it replaced had not worked in years. No warranty - sold in as in condition. Buyer must arrange for shipping or pick up. Cheers!
