Vehicle description
A 1959 Austin A-40 Farina. The engine is the original 948 c.c. with 4-speed transmission. I have changed the 948 head to a 1098 head from an early Sprite and twin 1&1/4 inch SU carbs have been installed. The engine number is 9UH251. There are new O.E.M. clutch, brake and rear brake hydraulic cylinders from a supplier in England. New brake shoes all around are installed. The engine has new rods, pistons, rings and bearings and has not been reinstalled in the car. The vehicle is POSITIVE ground and needs to be rewired. Windscreen and blower motors work. The radiator is good and all of the badges and trim are included. Currently the car is on the 13 inch factory wheels and will hold air as they are tubed, with the Flying "A" hubcaps. There are 4 aluminum mag wheels for the car included. The boot pan is in good condition but the fuel tank is rotten and there is a new Midget fuel tank and sending unit included. Some repairs to the floor pan at the drivers seat is required. A Haynes A-40 shop manual is included. The interior is rough, black seats with red piping and I have seats from a 1967 MGB-GT that are the same scheme and am including those also. The car number is A236L 24504. I do not have a way to move the car to a pick-up location and a semi will not be able to navigate my road. A 16 foot trailer is advised. Half payment due at time of sale and balance due in cash or cashier"s check before pick up. I can hold for a month to allow for pick up. If you have questions ask. Thanks for looking.
