Vehicle description
This is a 1959 Rambler American 2dr sedan with a manual transmission. It"s in original untouched barn find condition. The Oregon License plates show the car was last registered in 1982.
The car is an original black exterior with black and gray interior. The body is complete and surprisingly sound. The trunk floor is rust free and structurally, the body is in great shape. However the interior floor pan has rust with the area on the drivers side being the worst. The doors open and close without issues along with the trunk and hood. The doors are rust free along with the hood and trunk lid. Even the roof is clean and straight. The body is also clean with the normal dings and dents from age. The interior is sun baked and in need of being redone.
The mileage is original at 118647. I do not know any of the history of this car other then I"ve owned it for about 10 years. Also there is a service oil change sticker on the drivers door from 1972 showing 98,388 miles. The service sticker is from a Chevron station in Medford Oregon, 30 miles from where the car currently is.
Mechanically the car appears to be complete. It steers and rolls just fine. The car would look amazing restored back in its black exterior and black and gray interior.
Someone needs to adopt ( of course buy ) this wonderful American Rambler and restore it back to its glory of what it was when new !
The Rambler is being sold with a bill of sale, the title is lost. Buyer needs to pay a deposit within 48 hours after winning the bid. The Rambler can be stored for a reasonable amount of time while waiting to be shipped or picked up by the buyer. Balance of the winning bid needs to be paid within 7 days from end of auction.
Any questions please contact me and I"ll answer the questions the best I can.
