About this vehicle This 1958 Volkswagen Beetle (Pre-1980) is an original. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle is drivable. Seller"s Notes 1958 vw beetle Vehicle Details 1958 Bug Original solid floors and heater channels Hello, For sale is a 1958 Vw beetle with original patina paint. The floors and heater channels are original and solid. The car has a freeway flyer transmission, cb performance, adjustable front beam, Porsche conversion front disc/ rear drum set up w/ powder coated Porsche wheels. The windshield was replaced about 2 years ago with the original trim reinstalled, the door seals were also replaced with German seals. The car runs, drives, drives, and stops good, will need an alignment. The car should be thoroughly inspected for safety before road use. The motor is a 74’ I believe? I don’t know the mileage on the motor because it is not original to the car the odometer reads around 80,000 I believe but I’m not sure I’ll try to get a pic of that updated when I get a chance.The car is very solid, with great patina! There a few small rust spots here and there, nothing too significant. The area that would need to be patched is a small spot on the rocker and the under the hood area where the spare tire would sit. The hood seems to be a little out of alignment, looks like it’s because of the front bumper being bent in a little, it’s been like this since I purchased it, drives fine the way it sits now. The interior seats and door panels were redone about for 4 years ago, the panels are starting to fade a little and show some of the template lines through the vinyl. The car has a transferable NY state registration which can be converted into whatever type of paperwork other states require to register. Overall a great car with a lot of the big mechanical work already done, with hard to find solid floors and heater channels with amazing original patina! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
