Vehicle description

1958 Messerschmitt Project. All of the hard work has been done for you.
BODYWORK
The front of the car was damaged and the parts have been replaced with modern steel reproductions, a Fiberglas rear fender is provided, all other bodywork is original. Components were commercially media blasted removing paint, plastic filler and rust then coated in epoxy primer. Overall the metal is in very sound condition with the usual extra holes, dents and dings will need repairs. The center tunnel under the floor had previously been cut out by some nimrod and rewelded it is functional but needs attention. No significant rust pitting or missing metal. Front fenders and nose are bare steel and will need to be fitted to the car
The aluminum dome frame, windshield supports and side window frames are intact in reasonable condition for being 60 years old. Snaps have been installed previously to make a Cabriolet but the holes can be filled in and buffed when restoring the aluminum finish if you wish to change to a dometop.

Vehicle is currently in pieces. Small parts will be carefully packaged and boxed. Large sheet-metal panels can be nested on a large pallet with the heavy components if you intend to pick up in person. A crate can be built for a nominal fee. For long distance shipping I recommend building a plywood box like a refrigerator and load the parts. Packing an upright crate with a single pallet footprint is going to significantly lower your shipping costs. When checking shipping options like u-ship tell them you want to ship a wooden crate 40" x 48" x 7" tall weighing about 500 pounds, similar to a large refrigerator containing metal auto body panels. (No oils are present in the motor or chaincase. NO HAZMAT SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS)
