Vehicle Details I am selling my Rare 1958 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner - Hardtop Convertible (Retractable). The car has been in storage for a long time and needs complete restoration. Power steering, power brakes. The power seats and power windows are currently not working. The doors are not latching. The latches are there but need adjusting. The chrome around the tail lights is rusty. They are replaceable and they are on ebay but their expensive. The car hasn't been on the road in years but will start on a temporary gas jug. It dies shortly after starting. I haven't tried to clean the carburetor. Needs interior work and body work, mainly lower door skins. A good body man could fix this body. They are very rusty at the bottoms of the doors. There is a little rust in the rear floor board about the size of a quarter. It has some rust on the rockers, not much, but I wanted to mention it. Needs new carpet $204.on ebay and a radiator, Aluminum radiator on ebay $150. The floor boards and rockers are in pretty good shape. It has the 352 interceptor engine. It's been in storage for a long time so the Top relays have gotten corroded and need cleaning. The trunk opens but there is two screw jacks that make it open slowly that are missing. There is currently two sets on them on ebay for under $300.The motor that operates the screw jacks is in the trunk and works. I tried to get pictures of the bad but I would recommend looking at the car in person. The bottom line is you will be buying a restorable rare 58 retractable at a fair price so I can make room for my Studebaker truck. I suggest bring a trailer with a winch. Clean clear title.
