I"ve had this car in the garage for 30 years but it"s time to let it go to someone who can give it the attention it deserves. I have driven it a number of times. I"ve probably put 15 miles on it in those 30 years. I used to start it up and let it run for a while in the garage every few months and it ran well. But I got out of the habit and haven"t started the car for about 7 years now. I"m afraid to try starting it now as it might cause some damage. I think it would start up for someone who knew what they were doing. All of the dash indicators still light up along with the cabin lights, headlights, high-beams, and 3 of the 4 tail-lights. The teletouch push-button transmission seems to be working fine. I can hear it shifting gears when I press the buttons. I can hear the power antenna motor run when I press the button, but the antenna is snapped off and needs to be replaced. I can also hear a motor run when I turn on the air blower. The tires are probably 40 or 50 years old but they are still holding air just fine.
I"m not a car guy so I haven"t really done any work on the car in the 30 years I"ve had it. I got the car from my Grandpa who had bought it from a neighbor who had kept it in a barn in Montana for years. I think nobody"s done any real work on this car probably since the 1970s. The car is complete from what I can tell. there"s some body damage on the passenger-rear, but I have all of the original trim pieces sitting in the trunk ready for someone to do the repair.
