Vehicle description
After selling my exclusive vehicle business, I decided to once again offer top value, one-of-a-kind, classic, antique, and unique vehicles at reasonable prices. A BIT OF HISTORY For 1958, Chevy wagons were redesigned longer and lower than their 1957 predecessors. Chevrolet’s design for the year fared better than other GM offerings and lacked the overabundance of chrome found on Pontiacs, Oldsmobile, Buicks, and Cadillacs. The front of the car was the best ever, a broad-grille and quad headlights. The wagon’s tail received a fan-shaped alcove on both side panels and single tail lights to accommodate the tailgate.
Chevrolet led the pack in 1958 – Number One
As promised, we only offer seldom found and one-only vehicles This is a wonderful mix of old and new. Not another one like it. It does turn heads, raises eyebrows with lots of questions and thumbs up. A simple, “I like it,” usually follows. No trailer queen, it is a ‘get in and go’ vehicle. A driver at any speed, comfortable on city streets, country roads, and major highways. This is a mechanically upgraded car. It is not a restored, ‘do not touch me’ automobile and not your typical choppy ride hot rod. It handles and drives well. Nice enough to show and not too nice to enjoy and drive. UNDER THE HOOD Since its mechanical build, it has been tested and tried and proved to be sound. It is roadworthy. It was built to be super powerful with lots of torque. A fast car that could be shown and, if desired, driven daily. It had to be dependable, handsome, and attractive and it had to be one-of-a-kind. The engine is a 6.0 HD Vortec V8 coupled with a 6L80 transmission. A brand new aluminum radiator fronts the engine. The premium exhaust is all brand new, front to back, starting with the headers. The commanding deep sound exiting the pipes is not too loud and not too quiet – very impressive. Open the hood for show. All components are in place and matched nicely.
INTERIOR
The interior is roomy, comfortable, and mostly original. The front seat has been replaced. An original front seat goes with the car. I intended to have it recovered and installed but all things considered, the seat in the car is just too comfortable and it is a power seat. There is room for six adults, plus plenty of cargo space making it an ideal vacation vehicle. A classy ride! EXTERIOR Long and low with nine inches between you and the highway. This car is impressive from any angle. It can best be described as having an awesome stance. The color combination is the best; deep toreador metallic accented with blossom white and fits the car perfectly. It accents its beautiful profile exactly right; front, back, and sides. Want to point out the driver’s side read door is locked. The 50s period roof rack with oak slats fits well and adds a new dimension to the car. Change the look from time to time by removing the rack or adding travel cases and/or a surfboard. The white letter tires are new. Wagons – a hot ticket item rapidly increasing in value , as shown by sales, NADA, Hemmings Motor News, and insurance quotes. A wise, sound investment. The car offered is a nice example of old and new. Many are tired of the trailer queen, typical hot rods that add misery instead of enjoyment. Plus, there are so many they are hardly noticed. Park this car and a crowd appears. The car is well priced and ready for the road .
