Vehicle description

Vehicle Details I bought this truck 23 years ago when I moved from Florida to Arizona. I restored it probably 10 years ago (but it looks like yesterday). I have always garaged it. It’s a crowd stopper and multiple show winner. I would drive this truck anywhere - have had no issues. These long bed ’58 and ’59 Fleetside trucks are called Apache 3200’s. They, unlike the short beds (3100’s), are built on ¾ ton frames (which I accidently discovered when I replaced the brake lines, and Finelines kept sending me smaller lines than were on it originally). So it’s got ¾ ton brakes, etc. The suspension is all stock (but new). Really, the only thing that isn’t stock is the engine – a Vortec 350 (HO Super Deluxe) crate engine I bought from Sallee Chevrolet. It dyno’d at 425 HP / 450 Lb.Ft. It’s connected via the granny gear 4-speed to a 12 bolt (3.90) rear. The rear inspection cover doesn’t have 12 bolts, but the ring gear does. This must have been the last year for this configuration, because my ’59 Fleetside has the “normal” 12 bolt in it…The bed wood is ash (Bruce Horkey Cabinetry) with 5 coats of spar varnish – courtesy of my wife. Here’s a link to a walk-around video I did for a friend a while back…https:/ youtu.be/NFY-4g6JqK8The paint scheme is not its original colors, but it’s legitimate for the year. The yellow / green is “Colonial Cream” and the white is “India Ivory”. I’ve also provided some pics of the frame in its Imron black. Wheels are Boyd’s. Exhaust is dual with SUV Flowmasters (hear it in the video). It even has T-3 headlights. The speedometer does not reflect the correct speed, because I never looked into getting the correct gear for the transmission. Please feel free to ask questions either through or call me directly (Chip Porter / 520-455-0454).
