Vehicle description
1958 Chevrolet Bel Air
Description Up for sale is a 1958 Chevrolet. My bill of sale calls it a Bel-air, but the pictures of the body side mouldings depict a Biscayne model. I have registered it as a Bel-Air. The outside color is called Colonial Crème, which was a factory color option for the 58 Chevy line- up. The car was originally blue, I liked the Colonial Crème and decided to leave it alone. The engine is a rebuilt Chevy SB 350 with Edelbrock aluminum heads, intake, valve covers, camshaft, and 600 cfm carb.Other non-Edelbrock components include stainless steel headers, roller rockers, timing chain. The engine machine work was performed at a local shop that specializes in building racing engines. The transmission is a turbo 350 with recent filter and fluid change. The exhaust is dual with cutouts that have been closed off, but still there. The rear end is stock which has been serviced. The front brakes were changed to power disc. with the rear brakes remaining drum with new shoes and drums installed. The park brake cable was replaced. The wheels are 15 in. steel installed to clear the front brake calipers. The white wall tires are BF Goodrich Silvertown radials. The door handles were shaved on the outside and door poppers were installed when I bought the car. The interior is black with a split bench front seat and rear seat with a rear speaker installed. The seat covers were done in traditional tuck and roll . Never smoked in. The steering wheel is a after market Impala style which looks very nice. The heater works , but does not have air-conditioning. The steering is also non- powered. The next owner has the choice to install air-conditioning and power steering if desired. The speedometers odometer shows 13, 207 miles, more likely add at least 100,000 miles to it. I do drive this car to car shows and other car events, so the mileage is changing as a result. I have at least 19 documents showing car show registration and pictures of trophies won at these shows. I added the fender skirts since I bought the car. Many nice compliments of entire vehicle given to me at car shows. Thank You for taking time to read description and considering my 1958 Chevy for your very own.
