Vehicle description
Thank you for viewing my auction. What I have is a 1957 jeep Willys utility wagon. It is a running driving car. Four-wheel-drive works all lights except for the light in the speedometer work. The interior is mostly original and it still has a wicker headliner even though mouse or 4 ate a hole through two places in the corners I have went through the brake system and installed new wheel cylinders and shoes. The engine is a 226 flat head and it runs very well. It starts up faster than my newer car does. This car still has the original 6 V system with a new battery. I also removed the metal tank when it developed the leak and replaced it with a new sending unit in a plastic tank and new straps. I also did put in an electric fuel pump mounted in the engine bay. The heater blower motor does not work . The vacuum operated windshield wipers hardly work. This car is still considered to be a work in progress but it is a good foundation for someone to tinker with or drive it the way it is even though it doesn"t go very fast . The body does have some rust in the lower front fenders. And there are a couple parts of the floor that have rust. A couple of the cab mounting points that bolts to the frame are rusted away . These parts are all made aftermarket and it just takes time and money to fix it if you choose to. Also the rear lower tail gate hinges are rusted. It used to open but now I see that it needs some work but I have not forced to rear tailgate open cause I don"t want to damage the door I have on this car for a while and have too many projects. This car is best to be considered a fix up and restore or a parts car. It"s not something that you would probably want to drive in and try to go across the country. It"s 99% original, and 61 years old and has a lot of potential but still there are a lot of little things with it that need attention. I have seen cars that are much worse than this come back and been restored. If you have any questions or picture request email me. As always this vehicle is sold as is with no warranty. Feedback buyers below 10 email me before you place a bid or it will be removed. Highest bid gets it and there is clear title in my name. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and handling. Those charges must be paid for along with the vehicle in full before the vehicle leaves my possession. I will assist if a transport driver is to come get the car. I will be out of town from 10/26- 11/5/18. I can have another family member help a transport driver if necessary. Any other questions email me thanks
