Vehicle description
(Rare - 869 Built) 1957 Packard Supercharged - V8 Clipper Wagon Vehicle Description: You are bidding on a 1957 Packard Clipper Wagon with factory Superchared 289 engine in unrestored original condition. 1957 Packard Station Wagon (Factory Supercharged).
This is a low production car with only 869 manufactured in 1957. This Packard Clipper Country Sedan/Wagon is further unique in that it came from the factory in South Bend fully loaded. A former Doctor"s car from Saugus, CA, this car has not been on the road since 1964. In fact, it sat in the California desert from 1964 to 1996, North of Los Angeles, then brought north and currently in Bellingham WA. Coppertone and white in color called the "Copper Penny". The body of this car is in great solid shape. The only damage is to the driver"s door, and the parts include a NOS door. The floor is very solid. We have a copy of the original factory production order. The factory supercharged engine, body, VIN and frame numbers all match those on the production order.
The car is in need of total restoration, but could look like the last picture and comes with over $5,000.00 worth of NOS and used parts . Clear Title and some literature.
Some work done over the years while sitting in storage: Hinges on the lower tail gate replaced with grease fittings installed. Front suspension removed and replaced tie rod ends, kingpins. Bell crank gone through, new bushings. New heavy duty springs. Installed new plywood spare tire cover. Rebuilt heater with NOS blower motor and fan cage. Repaired/replaced door lock latches and strikers.
Rare and Valuable when restored:
