In short, this is a pre-owned BECK Speedster, Jet Black with Tan leather. It was originally Factory assembled for a Wisconsin client and is Wisconsin titled as a 1957 Porsche, additional Vehicle Detail: Replica.
It is modestly equipped. A nice 1600cc, twin carb. VW type 1 engine, 3:88 ring and pinion transaxle, dash grab handle, Nardi Steering wheel and wooden shift knob.
It has currently been though all of the mechanical portions of our 100+ Point Factory Inspection and Service, which includes oil change, transmission service, full tune up, and the replacement of any parts that are showing wear. Full chassis lubrication and torque check on every single fastener.
Our in house upholstery Dept. then goes completely through the car. Any worn items are replaced with matching new items. The top and side curtains are inspected and cleaned or replaced as needed. (In this case it appears the top was never even put up and is clean as new.)
The final step is a trip through our Paint and Body Dept. This is scheduled for early next week. (The photos here were taken in this Dept. and are far from glamour shots, prior to this last step.)
