Vehicle description
Excellent example of Nash"s small car New Interior New Electrical New Interior New Clutch Lines and Linkage Produced from 1953 to 1961, the Nash Metropolitan is described both as an economy car and a sub-compact. While "sub-compact" was not a term used in 1957, it was often referred to as a "small car". Bucking the rest of the U.S. auto manufacturers building ever growing cars, Nash sought to offer the American family economical transportation. It was intended to be the second car in a two car family, for Mom to go shopping or for Dad to drive to the train station to head to work.
The Metropolitan presented here is a very solid car. Owned since 2011. I replaced/corrected the electrical with repair/correction of lights and blinkers. The interior is new and shows very well.
The in-line 4 cylinder motor runs strong and clutch lines and linkage were recently replaced. With a rebuilt carburetor, this Nash Metropolitan is a good running and driving car.
The small car market is very strong currently and these cars are popular additions to car collections.
