Vehicle description
1957 Jaguar Mark VIII for sale. As is, where is. Restoration that run out of steam. I will be leaving country in 6 months and need to sell that car. It was driving and registered before restoration was started. Brakes were completely refurbished, new fuel tank with anti-rust coat on the inside. Has a 1980"s V-8 Buick motor that run excellent. See pictures for condition before restoration, as well as current state. Very good body, very thick steel. Everything is there: all lights, glass, chrome trim, wood trim, interior parts, except the seats. All British originals. I was going to replace the seats anyway at they were not very comfortable. Vehicle was 80% prepared for painting when restoration was halted for issues outside my control. I just don"t have the time to finish this project and it has been sitting in my garage for 2 years now. I invested a lot in that project and now selling it for a fraction of that. My loss can be your gain. Primer has to be sanded down and re-applied. There are still areas (like sunroof, wheel wells) that need to be prepped for priming. Interior needs complete restoration. Not sure of the transmission type. Seems original and works fine. Same with rear end. It has very large sunroof. Glass condition is very good and complete. Not sure about the engine model but it is fairly typical for the 1980"s GM cars and my local mechanic worked on it without any problems. Dashboard is rough and will need a new board.
