For auction is this 1957 GMC truck.
We purchased this old girl with the intentions of getting the bed fixed and using it around the property and around town but we have other projects we are finishing at this time and have decided to sell it.
Great looking old GMC ! The truck appears to be all original as far as we can tell. The interior does not appear to have been modified and neither does the cab or motor. Looks like a great old original summer project !
It looks like at one time it was a dually truck and two of the rims were removed from the back of the truck.
The previous owner said that he had this truck running on a small gas can and said that it ran and that the hoist worked. We have not tried to start it or tinker with it since we have had it so we cannot verify that the motor runs but the motor does turn over by hand and the key is still in the ignition. You know what they say about the old inline 6"s ( if it turns over it will run ! ! )
We do not know the condition of the motor or transmission but they do turn over and move freely by hand.
The gas tank has been removed from behind the seat so the new owner will need to get a gas tank and a battery for the truck. We also noticed that the brake pedal goes all the way to the floor so it will probably need some tinkering with the brakes as well.
The cab does have some rust in the typical spots ( rear cab corner , inside front cab mounts, ect ) Overall it looks like it would be a great truck to get going ! These 57 GMC trucks have some of the best styling and in our opinion the best looking grille.
