1957 Ford Thunderbird Factory E Bird Removed from Barn after 46 Years The engine rebuild itself is worth $4000.00 in a machine shop! !
I have owned this 1957 Ford Thunderbird Factory E Bird for 46 Years and planned to restore the car, but life got so busy restoring for others that I never got to it . I am up in years and due to health reasons decided to let it go to someone else.
The Bird requires a total restoration and the car has it has its original manifold, carburetors, and air cleaner. The transmission is automatic and it has its hard top and convertible top behind the seat. I have all the trim that goes with the car, including front and rear bumpers.
Throughout the years I purchased several NOS parts including lower rear bumper, taillights assembly, front fender head light door chrome surround pieces. The car also has its original fender skirts and Town and Country Radio. It will need quarter panel and fender patch panel work,in addition to some floor work. This Bird is equipped with power steering, and a power brake system. The engine was taken out of the car for a total rebuild, and that is as far as I got.
