Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1957 Ford Thunderbird is an original. This is offered for sale by the original owner. The vehicle runs great and is used as a daily driver. Seller"s Notes Mom drove her ‘57 daily until 1984, at which time she parked the well loved yet tired car in the garage where it sat untouched until 2006. In ‘06 the car was taken to Prestige Thunderbird where it was given a mechanical restoration. This included rebuilding the engine, transmission, new fuel tank and new brakes and wiring. Within the last three years the car has received new tires, aluminum radiator with auxiliary fan and has been upgraded to an alternator system. The clock has been upgraded to quartz movement, and the tachometer has been rebuilt. Although this is not a show car I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere in the country at a moments notice. The car has spent most of its life in Southern California and since 2006 has been located in southern Oregon. Rust free. Vehicle Details (Attn: this vehicle is located in Southern Oregon, so please consider this fact as it relates to shipping costs before bidding. Also, so as to eliminate any confusion, the fair reserve price is FIRM. And YES! although the title/ownership has been changed from my mothers name to mine (2006), I consider this a “one owner” car, as it has been in the family since it was purchased from Warren Anderson Ford in October of 1958 [I was 4 months old]. Once again, the reserve price is FIRM). Up for auction is the 1957 Ford Thunderbird which was purchased by my mother from Warren Anderson Ford in Riverside, Calif. in 1958. New fuel pump, July 2021. Exterior As can be seen in photos three and four, there is a very slight hood misalignment. This is due to a parking lot mishap in 1962 and which was repaired by my father. No negative impact on drivability. Interior This car has both the canvas top and the convertible hardtop. The extremely rare non-porthole top is original, the canvas top is new and from Prestige Thunderbird. Car needs paint. Engine With aluminum radiator and auxiliary fan, this car runs nice and cool year-round. Absolutely no overheating issues. Download the Motors app
