Up for auction is a very rare, true survivor, 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible. This car is stunning! Exterior is in great shape; never any panels replaced and floor pans are all solid and original; zero rust. The paint is 42 years old so it’s not perfect but it is in decent condition for the age (see photos). It has the classic white wall tires. The POWER convertible top is probably around 4 years old and operates as it should; cylinders have been replaced. Glass is all good. Chrome is about a 7 out of 10. Interior is in great shape too. Everything works as it should minus the radio. See photos and let me know if you have any questions. Mechanically this car runs and drives great. It is powered by the 283 4-barrel power pack with two-speed Powerglide transmission and dual exhaust. Only negative here is the front seal is leaking on the transmission which is very common on these cars; this does not affect the transmission shifting. More than likely this is the original running gear but I cannot confirm or deny. Car is showing 36,193 miles; I cannot confirm or deny this is original miles. Brakes have been reworked so they’re good to go. Bottom line is this is a very rare find that has had very minimal work done to it. It is super solid and has potential to become a show car. Please understand that this car IS NOT currently a show car, but, I had someone who is very knowledgeable about these cars take a look at this one and he was definitely impressed with the condition it was in for the amount of work that has been done.
