Vehicle description

This is the most desirable of the S-1 Series in that it has left hand drive, power steering and air conditioning. Someone is going to reap the benefits of this absolute bargain. DESCRIPTION: Every once in a while there comes on the market, a significant car without a significant price. This one is it. There were just 12 of these imported to compete in the American luxury car market. Its initial price was $12,500.00 when a Cadillac could be had for $2,500. Enhancements by current owner of 2 decades include: modern a/c compressor, reconfigured freon lines, new duct work/fans, radiator & electric cooling fan @ condenser; modern radio; alternator; rebuilt transmission, twin S. U. Carburetors, brake servo, master cylinder & wheel cylinders, driveshaft & u joints, lever action shock absorbers; seat belts; new Cooper steel belted Trend Setter radial tires; recent paint and bodywork; electronic ignition. The Italian walnut wood accouterments (cap rails, dash, picnic tables & ladies companions) are refinished as needed and the replacement leather is the real thing. The previous owner, a wealthy Irish industrialist, was instrumental in helping Henry Ford beat Ferrari at Le Mans. FYI: in our Nations Capitol, this Bentley was: displayed @ the International Spy Museum grand opening, Ronald Reagan grand ballroom, National Building Museum, National Portrait Gallery, etc. It has been the subject of many publications, countless high-end weddings (earns $1,000.00 per day when properly marketed) and delivered $100,000.00 worth of Scotch Whiskey (3 bottles) to the Ritz Carlton Georgetown amid trumper fanfare. NADA lists a #1 car @ $75,000.00 but we a letting this beautifully restored car go for far less. Sold as is.
