Vehicle description
I purchased this Power Hawk in the Fresno area of California 3 years ago and had it shipped here to Florida. It is powered by the original 259 4 barrel engine with a three speed transmission with overdrive. It was a nearly complete car which was running and driving before disassembly. The only missing parts I can see are the horn rim, hubcaps and the column shifter rods. It was converted to a floor shift at some point in the past. Other than that it"s all there including all glass and stainless steel trim pieces. The drivers door glass is broken. The engine ran well and the transmission shifted fine. The odometer shows 73000 + miles and I believe that to be correct. The California license plate on the car indicates it was last registered in 1963. That is consistent with what the previous owners (an estate) told me. I removed the body from the chassis to begin a restoration. The chassis is rust free and the suspension and running gear are unmolested. All of the outer sheet metal is straight and rust free except for some minor rust at the rear bottom of the right front fender and kinks at the rear of the hood from opening while under way. The rear quarter panels and the right front fender are from a "61 Hawk donor car to replace the originals which were damaged. The inner body shell will require rust repair in the trunk, floor and cowl areas. I had it sandblasted and primed. This car obviously needs complete restoration but it shouldn"t be too hard considering the condition and completeness. I just lost interest. I HAVE REINSTALLED THE BODY ON THE CHASSIS. ALL THE LOOSE PARTS ARE IN THE TRUNK AND IT IS ROLLING AND READY TO SHIP.
