THE CAB OF THE TRUCK HAS ITS ORIGINAL WELL EARNED 64 YEAR OLD PATINA (These trucks were the heavy haulers of there day often equipped with a 5th wheel with a 40 ft box trailer For the long haul. Or with a huge container box making daily deliveries) THE BED OF THE TRUCK IS AN EXTENDED 1/2 TON INTERNATIONAL BED WITH CUSTOM FENDERS COVERING THE HUGE DUALLY REAR END. THE BED AND SIDE SKIRTING WERE “PATINA’D TO MATCH THE CAB TO GIVE IT A WELL WORN NOSTALGIC LOOK MAKING THIS TRULY A ONE OF A KIND PICKUP TRUCK! TO GO ALONG WITH THE LOOK THE INSIDE OF THE BED IS LINED WITH AGED WOOD - NOT ROTTED - JUST AGED AND A MODIFIED CLASSIC FULTON SUN VISOR REALLY GIVES THE TRUCK CHARACTER
THE DOORS OPEN AND SHUT LIKE NEW I HAVE A COMPLETE NEW SET OF FUZZIES AND RUN CHANNELS THAT I ORDERED THAT WILL GO WITH THE TRUCK THE WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN FINE THEY JUST RATTLED WITHOUT THE NEW FELTS THE GLASS IS ALL LIMO TINTED RIGHT OVER THE CRACKED AND BUBBLED ORIGINAL SIDE GLASS ADDING MORE PATINA AND CHARACTER. IN THE SHORT TIME I HAVE OWNED IT I HAVE ENJOYED IT IMMENSELY I ADDED THE MILITARY FOOT LOCKER IN THE BED ALONG WITH THE DOUBLE SIDED FENDER MOUNTED ARROW TURN SIGNALS THEY DO NOT WORK THOUGH I WAS GOING TO CONVERT THE LIGHTS TO LED I ADDED A COUPLE OF LITTLE CHARACTERS -THE SPARK PLUG SPIDER ???? ON THE CAB pic7 AND SPARK PLUG SCORPION ???? ON THE DASH pic21 AS WELL AS THE HUMAN SKELETON THE DOG SKELETON AND THE SKELETON BIRD IN A RUSTY CAGE I WAS GONNA GO WITH THE MOTIFE OF “THE GRIM REAPER” WHO IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT IS HIMSELF AN “INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER”. . . MECHANICALLY THE TRUCK SITS ON A 2005 3/4 TON SILVERADO WITH A 6.0 L VORTEC WITH A AUTOMATIC 4L80 4-SPEED TRANSMISSION THE DIGITAL DASH IS BEHIND THE GLOVEBOX (THE ORIGINAL 1956 GAUGES DON’T WORK) IT RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT WITH NO ISSUES WILL DO 100 MPH WITH NO PROBLEMS ALL DAY LONG. TRULY A SMOOTH RIDE WITH GREAT HANDLING. TRUCK SITS ABOUT 3 INCHES OFF THE GROUND WITH TORSION BAR FRONT AND LEAF SPRINGS IN THE BACK.
