“This Ford was bought by it's present owner, from the original owner in the '70's. The car has been cared for like a baby. Never in foul weather, always inside. Every bit of maintenance was done with original Ford NOS or new parts. There is a drip of transmission fluid the size of a 50 cent peice on the floor after a 100 drive. There is no rust in the car. Vehicle description

The 1956 Thunderbird is the one to have. This car was purchased by it"s present and second owner from the original owner. It is in a very solid honest #3+ driver condition. A falling tree limb damaged the front right fender in the early "80"s. It was replaced with an original Ford new fender. The car was then taken down to bare metal and repainted overall. There are a couple of small blemishes in the older paint, but it stands up and shows very well. There was a small rust spot on the front end of the right side rear spring shackle. It was expertly cut and welded to like new condition.
The engine top end was overhauled about the same time the car was repainted, early "80"s. An overall top end rebuild was done, valves, springs, seats, etc. The bottom end does not smoke and is strong. The most recent up grades were just finished and include an electronic ignition to replace the old points. Same stock distributor. The original 4-barrel carb was rebuilt with all new parts, including gaskets and seals that repel the methanol that is in todays gas. There is also a brand new battery to go with the deal.
There has only been less than 10,000 miles put on the car since it was repainted and mechanically over hauled. It has power steering and power seat. The convertible top is white and in very good condition. This car is really fun to drive. It is very dependable looks good, and all systems are ready to go.
