Vehicle description
1956 Ford F100 / Short Bed
I"m reluctantly looking for a new home for this gem. I love the truck but changes in circumstances call for the sale. I bought the truck about 4 years ago in Ukiah, California (Napa Valley area). Below is a list of highlights. I"m happy to talk with SERIOUS buyers on the phone and answer any questions. What you see is what you get, a solid iconic "56 F100 with some nice upgrades and ready to enjoy. I"ve owned 6 of these over the last 30 years and have enjoyed everyone of them. I know what they"re worth, and what they"re not worth. This one is not a Jackson Barrett trailer queen but is a rock solid rust free honest "56 that has decades of enjoyment ahead of it.
Highlights:
Rock Solid Rust-Free California Truck Mid-80"s FORD 302 CID Engine (not a SBC!) Edelbrock 4bbl Carburetor HEI Ignition 5 Speed Manual Transmission Headers Brand New Cooper Radial Tires Brand New Chrome Wheels from Summit Racing Brand New Front Chrome Grille Brand New Front Chrome Bumper Nicely upholstered bench seat / No tears or stains Clean interior and headliner Clean un-cut dash Brand New door windows (both doors) Tilt Wheel Steering Column (makes getting in and out easy)
I"m sure there"s more I"m forgetting but hopefully that gives you a good idea. These are getting hard to come by at a decent price. I"ve got this priced very fair for what it is and the condition it is. Next lucky owner will definitely be acquiring a nice investment that continues to climb in spite of whatever the economy does.
If you"re serious I"m happy to talk on the phone. Please DO NOT waste my time (or yours) with low-ball offers. I"m a fair person and would like the sale to be a win / win for both me and the buyer.
Remember, this is not a trailer queen but it is damn cool truck with solid bones and great power plant that is fun to drive. That being said . . paint is about 18 years old but has weathered time pretty well and shows good. The windshield has a rock chip . . not the end of the world but sharing to be transparent. The wood in the bed is all there and solid as seen in the pics . . it could use a sanding and re-stain to really pop. Tailgate has a few dents on the top edge but nothing major. Dash lights work but the gauges do not and the horn doesn"t work either. I haven"t had the time to look into the dash or the horn, I"m guessing it"s a simple connection issue.
If you"re bidding, bid to win. It"s a great truck and you"ll be hard pressed to find another in this good of shape with the upgraded FORD power plant and drivetrain at the price it"ll sell for. Please don"t ask me the reserve, place your bid and/or call me if you want to make a respectable offer. I"m willing to end the auction early if we agree on a number that"s good for both of us.
Housekeeping: Please ask all questions, have funds in place, and permission (if needed) BEFORE bidding. It takes a lot of time and money to list on ebay and I don"t want to waste my, or anyone elses, time. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I"m willing to help on my end to make sure all goes well with your transport at pick up time. Truck is being sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. I"m not a dealer. I"ve described the vehicle as straight forwardly as I can. To serious bidders, if you want to see anything that isn"t pictured I"m happy to take additional photos of what you"d like to see and email them to you , just ask. I"m willing to discuss the truck on the phone with serious buyers, simply email me your phone number and I will call you. Again, I"ll consider ending the auction early if you would like to make an offer that"s good for both of us. Good Luck !
